First album you ever bought?
First CD was Kanye West’s Graduation. My first vinyl was King Crimson’s In the Court of the Crimson King. I’d say my music taste took a pretty wild turn after that.
Favorite concert ever?
Hands down, Rings of Saturn at Sunshine Studios here in Colorado Springs. It was my first mosh pit, I had absolutely zero defense skills, walked out with a black eye… and I’d do it all over again. Still one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
Last meal if you were on death row?
Easy. My mom’s Mexican rice and green chile stew. Nobody cooks like Mom.
Collect anything?
I’m a huge collector of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Star Wars action figures, CDs, and vinyl. If it has to do with music, movies, or nerdy stuff… I’m probably into it.
What’s one thing you’d never do again?
Probably force myself to play sports because I thought it’d help me meet girls. Spoiler alert… it didn’t. Looking back, I should’ve spent more time in choir/music theory and art. I wasn’t much of an athlete, but I did make some great friends, so I can’t complain too much.
Dream ride?
I’m a sucker for ’80s Japanese cars. They’re simple, clean, and just have so much personality. I also love old Chevy Blazers and Ford Explorers SUVs just had a cooler look back then.

If you could go back in time, what year would you visit?
Honestly, probably the ’80s. I’d love to experience the early days of alternative, college rock, and hard rock while it was all happening. If I couldn’t pick the ’80s, I’d probably go back to around 2000s–2014. That era of alternative and indie music was something special, and life just felt a little simpler.
If you weren’t in radio, what would you be doing?
Honestly… still music. I’m a vocalist and musician, so I’d probably be chasing that full-time. If not, I’d be doing something with art. I grew up drawing, loved animation and realism, and even went to art school when I was younger.
