Everything’s coming up Grammy for Avenged Sevenfold! It was recently announced that the band received a Grammy nomination for the tune The Stage and the band is releasing a digital only album next week called Live At The GRAMMY Museum. The 11 track album was recorded earlier this year and features the band strictly playing acoustic instruments and also features a small backing orchestra. Today we got a sneak preview of one of the tracks off of the upcoming One More Light Live album from Linkin Park which comes out December 15th. This version of Crawling was recorded on their last tour before Chester Bennington took his own life. With just Chester’s vocals, a piano, and the audience backing him up the video gave me the chills. I’m a fan of EP’s. Whether it’s a band releasing a few songs that they’ve recorded but don’t fit any future albums, or just a way to drop a few cover tunes that they are having fun with, I am all for the EP. In Flames seems to agree as they just released a new EP called Down, Wicked and No Good. It contains four covers ranging all the way from Nine Inch Nails to Chris Isaak and Depeche Mode. The rock world was shocked Saturday to learn AC/DC founding member and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young had passed away.
