We have big news about one of the biggest bands in the world.
I just finished taping HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, where we announced the details of a new partnership that will remind people across the globe about the courage and sacrifice of the veterans community.
Linkin Park is huge – over 63 million likes on Facebook and more than 60 million albums sold worldwide – and they’ve asked our community to help create a video that showcases videos and photos submitted by veterans. The video will be set to one of their songs from their newly released album, The Hunting Party, and shown on the band’s upcoming Carnivores tour to drive fans to support IAVA and the new generation of dedicated, young leaders. The tour kicks off in August and IAVA will be a part of it at every stop across the country.
This is a great opportunity to show the rest of the world what being in the military and veterans community is all about.
So start submitting your stuff now and spread the word on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram about this amazing partnership by using the hashtag, “#LPforVets.”
Together, IAVA and Linkin Park make a powerful, kick-ass team.
