BLOW IT OUT YOUR OZ: 7/16/17

Ozzfest Meets Knotfest 2017 Lineup Was Announced Earlier This Week

So again, for the second year running, Ozzy Osbourne will join forces with Slipknot & Stone Sour’s Corey Taylor for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest! The two-day event takes place November 4th and 5th at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California.

Ozzy, Prophets of Rage and the Deftones are featured on the Nov. 4 Ozzfest slate, while Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and Stone Sour will headline the Knotfest end of things on Nov. 5. Other bands scheduled for the event include Testament, Goatwhore, High on Fire, Havok, Black Dahlia Murder, Life of Agony, ONI, Code Orange, Kreator, Baroness, Children of Bodom, Orange Goblin, Iron Reagan and many more.

“Teaming up again with Ozzfest means another weekend of the biggest, baddest, loudest and best,” said Corey Taylor. Sharon Osbourne also added that “last year we had over 75,000 people attend. And this year’s event means the world to me as we’ll be among friends. It’s going to be another amazing weekend.”

Stone Sour’s cover of “Children Of The Grave”, originally recorded by Black Sabbath, is from their 2015 Record Store Day exclusive EP titled Meanwhile In Burbank … that consisted of five cover songs from bands that influenced the members of Stone Sour. The 4 remaining covers are songs that were originally recorded by Alice In Chains, KISS, Judas Priest and Metallica – Meanwhile In Burbank is available now on Roadrunner Records.

“Symptom of the Universe” is a Black Sabbath cover by the English stoner metal band Orange Goblin. It comes off the special edition version of their seventh studio album A Eulogy for the Damned released in 2012. And Orange Goblin are no stranger to Black Sabbath covers and they have also recorded versions of the Sabbath songs Into The Void and Hand of Doom. Now technically I cheated with this one because Orange Goblin will actually be playing as part of the The Ozzfest 2017 lineup on Saturday, Nov. 4th at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. Hey when you try to do only cover songs in order to keep with a theme it can get a bit tough! Anyways…

Tickets for Ozzfest meets Knotfest are ON SALE NOW and prices range from $29 for single-day general-admission lawn tickets to $239 for two-day general-admission pit passes. A variety of VIP packages are also available for both days. There will be a special pre-fest kickoff on Nov. 3 for all ticketed campers.” To buy tickets to the event click HERE!
